
What does NLP stand for?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) refers to three influential components involved in creating our entire human experience: neurology, language, and programming. NLP characterises the relationship between the mind and how we think (that’s the Neuro’ bit ), the language we use (Linguistic) and how they both impact our actions and behavioural responses (referred to in NLP as our ‘Programming’).
How can NLP help?
There is an internal structure to our experience of life, of how we make sense of things. Our ‘internal representation’ of the world is formed from data received through our senses. This information can be auditory, visual, kinaesthetic, olfactory, or gustatory and this creates patterns in the way we think, feel, and behave. Our actions, feelings and thoughts have therefore produced our lives as we know them today.
So, by interrupting, or changing these patterns and structures, we can literally change our experience., change our lives.
Resourceful, effective communication with ourselves is what NLP is all about.
The answer is always inside of us, NLP just helps find it.

What is the difference between counselling and coaching?
Sometimes people get confused between coaching and counselling.

Counselling is a therapy that is really effective when you are emotionally struggling with something. It predominantly focuses strongly on the past, past experiences and situations, and how that's effecting you now. It provides a safe,, trusted and supported space to share those memories and experiences, being the main objective.

Coaching helps you to move from where you are now to where you want to be moving forwards. Coaching is more solution-focused and future-driven, with a collaborative and action-orientated approach. It doesn’t require you to dwell on or dig up past painful details – rather, a coach works with a client to help them explore their current beliefs and helps them to figure out how they can make changes that will improve their life and help them maintain resourceful thinking patterns going forward. With NLP added in produces transformative change.
